Experimental study on DC corona charging characteristics of powder particles with different properties

Abstract In this paper, the charging characteristics of powder particles with different properties under DC discharge corona conditions were studied experimentally. The influence voltages and structures on charge-mass ratio was analyzed through ELPI measurement. experimental results show that far-field structure electrode can effectively charge materials like Graphite micro powder, copper sulfide, talcum porous material (Si Al) within particle size range 0.1 μm−10 μm; When there is no streamer or spark between grounding device, higher voltage is, degree air ionization better effect is; Under same condition, decreases increase size.
